New potter and new pots

Because we love the well-balanced aeronautical shapes produced by Jeremy Nichols, we approached him over two years ago to join Online Ceramics. We finally arranged to visited Jeremy at his studio in June and selected 12 teapots, coffee pots and other salt glazed vessels. They have now been added to the Online Ceramics Galley and are ready to view.

The summer is always a busy time for potters with ceramic fairs every other weekend in the UK and across Europe. Having all these potters together in one place is great news for us. Whilst at Rufford International Ceramics Fair in Nottinghamshire we managed to pick up a few extra pots by Tony Laverick. Rufford has the added bonus of being near Rachel Wood’s studio and we stopped by to pick a really good selection of her work. Both Tony and Rachel’s work has been added to the gallery.

We have been desperately short of John Higgins‘ work for well over a year. We managed to pick up 10 of his latest works during a visit to Art in Clay where he was showing. We are really pleased with the selection of work we chose. They will be added to the Online Ceramics Gallery over the next week.
