Blue/grey saling vessel

This is a spectacular example of a Ruth King slab built salt-glazed pot. Once Ruth constructed this pot she then sprayed it with a slip onto the stoneware clay before first bisque firing it in an electric kiln, then firing it in her gas kiln where she adds the salt at the height of the firing. Ruth is pictured holding this large pot which she has marked on the bottom with her stamp.
