This is a thrown and altered lidded stoneware jar by Matthew Blakely. Matthew has applied a rich mixture of slips to produce a textured finish. Matthew is pictured holding this pot which he has stamped with his potters mark. In the photograph featuring the two lidded jars, this is the smaller one.
