Emmanuel Cooper OBE, one of Online Ceramics first potters died on Saturday 21 January 2012. Emmanuel had a long and illustrious career, a potter, co-founder of Ceramic Review, writer, critic, teacher, mentor and friend. When researching the feasibility of establishing Online Ceramics, Emmanuel was one of the first potters Peter Ward discussed his ideas with. Peter said “I discussed my ideas with Emmanuel even before I had a website to show him. Even though he didn’t know me very well, Emmanuel happily spared time to talk to me and he was very supportive”.
